Open Gym is just as it sounds. It is a time for kids to enjoy and explore our gym in a supervised yet unstructured environment. ATG Open Gym is offered on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 AM to 12 PM. Join us for one hour or both and pay just $5 per child for the session.
This class is designed for children under 3 years of age. All toddler classes require at least one parent to participate with their child. The instructor will set up an obstacle course throughout the gym based on the day’s activities planned. The obstacle courses are designed to help enhance locomotion skills, social skills, hand-eye coordination and working with other children to learn important concepts like taking turns, following directions, and listening. The participating parent learns to become a facilitator of the child’s sensory and motor movement discoveries.
Designed for children ages 3 and 4 years of age. There are never more than 7 children allowed in each class, this way children will get lots of personal attention and turns on the apparatus. The instructors usually set up an obstacle course throughout the facility. The obstacle courses are specially designed to help enhance locomotion skills including basic gymnastics skills, social skills, hand-eye coordination, and working with other children to learn important concepts like taking turns, following directions, and listening. Children will also be introduced to more gymnastics skills and apparatus.
For children ages 5 through 8 years of age. There are never more than 7 children allowed in each class, this way children will get lots of personal attention and turns on the apparatus. This class aims to develop all over body awareness, strength, flexibility, conditioning and self-esteem. In addition, it aims to introduce basic elemental gymnastics skill: correct flight, safe landings, falls, and slides, climbing, rocking and rolling.
This class is designed for children from 8 years of age and up. This class is designed for gymnasts of all abilities. Most of these classes are an hour long, and our classes are broken down by age and skill level. The foundation for future gymnastics begins here! Boys and girls will love our creative, structured, progressive, and unique lesson plans that combine core instruction with fun enthusiasm. There are never more than 8 students in the class, this way children will get lots of personal attention and turns on the apparatus. These classes also offer fundamental gymnastics education for children who enjoy gymnastics as recreation and those who wish to apply gymnastics to related fields such as dance, cheer, diving, or martial arts. These classes are an excellent avenue for gaining confidence, athletic coordination, and personal growth.
Combines full-body exercises with the fun of gymnastics. Home-schooled children are invited to take part in this class, which is designed to improve strength, endurance, agility, and tumbling skills.
Provides boys and girls with instruction in the fundamentals of tumbling. Students work at their own pace, using basic trampoline and floor skills to develop the more advanced tumbling skills such as those found in competitive trampoline and tumbling. These skills can be carried over into other sports as well such as martial arts, snowboarding, skiing, and cheerleading. Each tumbling class is designed to teach proper body positioning and alignment through progressive drills and strength conditioning to ensure proper skill development to progress through each level.
Our Cheer classes are designed for beginning and intermediate cheerleaders including proper motion technique, jumps, stunts, and tumbling. These students will utilize our spring floor, trampolines, and tumble track.
